At this month's picnic/meeting, we'll be judging for the AHA Club-Only Competition. The theme is Extract Extravaganza. Judging should take place sometime between 4-5 p.m.
Eric Drake and J. Woody Drake placed Third in the Herb & Spice Mead category for their Sparkling Metheglin-Medium in an AHA competition in Chicago.
Jim Tiefenthal and Jamie Judge took an Honorable Mention with their Strong Scotch Ale at the Barley's Homebrew Competition.
Those entering kegs in the Beer & Sweat Competition in Cincinnati on Saturday, August 9, should be advised that their kegs must be equipped with a quick-release for easy connection to the system provided by the BBL.
