Learn to Homebrew Day 2017

What

Learn to Homebrew Day was established by the American Homebrewers Association (AHA) in 1999 to encourage people to homebrew. The event involves homebrewers bringing their equipment to a location and brewing beer while people new to the hobby ask questions. More information on the event and the history of it can be found here.

If you plan on brewing please be patient when it comes time to chill your beer as this can be a bottleneck at events like this.

Official, meeting activities will begin at around 7:00 pm, but Combustion will be opening at 6:00 if you want to swing by early and grab a beer or two before we start. They are not normally open on Mondays, so we’ll have the place to ourselves, but that does mean the full kitchen will not be available. There will be bar snacks(nut mix, pretzels, chips) available, and they said anyone is welcome to bring food if you want to eat dinner, or order from Romeo’s pizza, which is next to the brewery.

Where

Combustion Brewery and Taproom

Pickerington, OH 43147

Agenda

  • Officer reports
  • Combustion Brewing Talk/Tours
  • Social hour

Club Competition

Fall Beers
This is a thematic based around fall. What does this mean? Well you could enter an Oktoberfest, a pumpkin beer, a Belgian Fall Saison, a Belgian Pale that evokes feelings of fall. The theme is fall and you can make that work however you want.

Winner will get a $25 gift card from a local homebrew store.

Bring your entries to the meeting and give them to Gautam.
